Did you know that not only males but also female mosquitoes drink human blood!

New delhi date. 22 September 2020, Tuesday

Mosquito bites can spread a number of diseases, including dengue, malaria, chickenpox, and the Zika virus. The mosquito bites the body and spreads its germs in the body of the person, causing a number of diseases. But did you know that humans are bitten not by males but by female mosquitoes? It is also because it needs human blood. In fact, female mosquitoes need blood so that they can give birth to offspring. Mosquitoes are said to need protein to lay eggs, which they get from the blood. That is why a female mosquito cannot reproduce without sucking human blood.

When it comes to the lifespan of a female mosquito, it can live for about two months, while a male mosquito can live for about 15 days. A female mosquito can lay more than 500 eggs at a time. Female mosquitoes can suck at least 0.001 ml to 0.1 ml of blood from their single bite. The mosquito often bites a person who has covered his body with a cloth. How dangerous a mosquito bite can be can be seen from the scars on the skin after its bite. The skin turns red and begins to itch unbearably.

Research on mosquitoes has revealed that more than three and a half thousand species of mosquitoes are found worldwide. Most of them are species that do not bother humans at all. It depends on fruit and tree juices to survive. An interesting thing associated with female mosquitoes is that they lay eggs every three days. That is why it is said for mosquitoes that if they ever appear anywhere, immediate measures should be taken to repel them. Otherwise, the faster its numbers increase, the faster the danger to humans may arise. This risk often becomes so severe that a person can die if not addressed in time. That is why it is important to be vigilant in time.
