If you also like to laugh, then it is better to stay away from stress. People who keep smiling and laughing in their lives are more prepared to fight stress. This has been revealed by a recent study.
According to research, a person laughs an average of 18 times a day. People laugh a lot when talking to others and this depends on their level of entertainment experience. Researchers have also reported changes in daytime, age, and gender. Researchers have examined the relationship between stressful events and laughter in everyday life.
The researchers asked participants some questions at irregular intervals eight times a day via a mobile app. This process took 14 days. In which questions were asked about the frequency and intensity of laughter. Questions were also asked about stressful events and symptoms. This finding was studied on 41 psychology students. There were 33 women and all were under 22 years of age.
The findings show that people who laughed and laughed every day had a very common symptom due to stressful events. It showed only mild headache symptoms. People who laughed very little or did not smile at all then showed symptoms like fatigue and insomnia. However, the researchers found no correlation between laughter intensity i.e. higher, moderate and slow laughter and stress levels. According to researchers, just smiling can help reduce stress.
