(World's first picture)
- The efforts of Joseph Nicefour and Louis Dogger led to the flourishing of photography in France around 1820.
- Joseph captured a picture in 1826 called 'View from the Window at Le Grass'. Joseph suddenly snapped a photo from the window of his house in St. Loop de Vernis.
- The world's oldest photo available today. The picture shows the open space between the two buildings.
(First tidy picture)
- Joseph took a picture in 1822 but it 'flew' by mistake, so he tried again. That is why many historians have attributed his discovery to photography since 1822.
- 6 years of hard work behind the world's first photo. It took 8 hours for a photo to be ready after clicking.
(First color image)
- Joseph Nicefor died in 1833. Fellow Louis Dogre then began research. The method that evolved from Dogger's diligence got the name 'Dogero type'.
- The work of these two was recognized after 13 years. The patent was registered on August 1839, 12-13 years later. World Photography Day has been celebrated on this day since 2010.
(First selfie)
- The first selfie was taken in 1839 by a researcher named Robert Cornelius living in Philadelphia, USA.
- In 1861, a Scottish scientist named James Maxwell introduced color photography to the world. There were 3 colors in the photo.
(Inventor's hometown)
- Our current selfie generation provides more than 100 million selfies every day in the world. People between the ages of 16 and 40 take an average of 450 photos on their mobile during the day.
