This year will be the sixth International Yoga Day. However, due to the Corona virus epidemic this year Yoga Day will be celebrated at home with the family. Prime Minister Modi has launched an event on Yoga Day called 'My Life My Yoga'. In fact, the Prime Minister even mentioned this in his Mann Ki Baat program.
The theme of this year's International Yoga Day is 'Yoga at Home and Yoga with the Family'. Amid the Corona virus epidemic, people are being urged to practice yoga at home. This is why the My Life My Yoga program has been started to inspire people to do yoga with their family members.
Launching the video blogging competition, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked people across the country to take part in the competition and share their videos. My Life, My Yoga Competition is a joint effort of the Ministry of AYUSH and the Indian Council for Cultural Relations.
The purpose behind the program is to have a transformative effect of yoga on a person's life and this is one of the activities associated with the International Yoga Day, an official statement said. The competition is live on the AYUSH Ministry's social media handle.
After becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, Narendra Modi decided to spread awareness about yoga all over the world. International Yoga Day was launched on June 21 by the international community only after the efforts of Prime Minister Modi.
