Life of Swami Vivekananda:

- In the year 1863, a brilliant child Narendra Nath Dutt was born in a family in Kolkata, India. This child went on to become the flag bearer of Indian culture and came to be known as Swani Vivekananda.

- In the year 1893, Swami Vivekananda addressed the World Parliament of Religions held in Chicago, USA. In the meantime, he introduced Indian Vedanta to the Western world in his brief but effective speech. He made people aware of Indian culture and Sanatan way of life. This moment is known as 'East Meat West'.

- In the year 1897, after Swami Vivekananda returned from the Dharma Parliament, he established the Ramakrishna Mission for social services in the name of his guru Sant Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa. His ideal karma is based on yoga and the teachings of Guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa.

- On February 04, 1902, Swami Vivekananda went to his room and sat down to meditate. In this state of meditation, they departed from this world to the hereafter.

- In the year 1984, the Government of India declared Swami Vivekananda's birthday i.e. 12th January as National Youth Day to honor its great spiritual and philosophical leader and to inspire the youth of the country with his ideas.

National Youth Day is celebrated every year in the country to honor the ideals and ideas of Swami Vivekananda. Swami Vivekananda spoke about the importance of youth in the process of nation building.
